Change of song

Once we had put all the footage together, edited it and received our first cut feedback, myself and Alice both had a realisation that we can do so much better, we were not happy with how the product had turned out. With the song being slow paced and with a sad story line we figured the song and story line clashed and made it boring. Therefore we have decided to start from scratch and to create a better product that will make us reach our full potential. Our new song we have chosen to create a music video to is called Home made Dynamite by Lorde. Our reason for choosing this song is because it starts off slow paced but as the song carries on there is a beat that kicks in making it more adventurous to create a music video too.   Our idea for the music video is to use one character but to show three different personalities within herself. We are going to use the Goth, the geek and the popular girl. We thought this idea would be more eye catching and more interesting. So far we have fi

So today myself and Alice started putting our footage together using final cut pro. Once we had put all the footage onto the computer we had noticed there was not enough to finish the song, we then had to go off and re film most of our footage as we realised we could improve what we had already made. Once we had finally recorded more shots we then imported them into the computer and put them together on final cut pro. We started adding slow motion onto some shots to add more dramatic shots as it was a slow paced song. As you can see on the image we have put some slow motion on the shot where the female character is running away from her friends, we thought this made the shot more exaggerated.  Once putting slow motion on, we then thought about the conventions of a slow song as some have a black and white effect so we thought we could try it out, in the end we thought it worked really well with the slow motion, it made it very effective. Instead of the screen going black at the

Detailed Planning

Location For our product we have two places we have planned on filming in. First one being on the streets outside, we have decided this location due to we want to make the story line more realistic when she comes to meet her friends and they leave her, for this we are going to film early afternoon so we have good lighting as on our previous product we filmed at night and it turned out bad quality. For our second location we have chose Alice's house, this is because the female character runs into a house and starts ripping up photos of her and her friends, so to make it more realistic we used Alice's photos in her house. props When thinking of props, we are going to need a car, as the character gets out of a taxi, we also need a bottle of wine, this is going to symbolise how she feels and how she does not want to be here anymore because she only drinks it when she is at her lowest. We are going to need Alice's photos, her photo album and a lighter, as throughout the ho

Day 1 So today we decided to start filming our music video, I think we have most of our footage done but once we start editing it we will see if we need any extra shots. For our first day filming and getting most of the footage filmed I think we have done well, there were some struggles at the beginning with choosing the location but apart from that everything ran smoothly. We thought we would take photos of the day as we went on and show how we did some shots. I definitely loved filming our music video and I can not wait to see what the end result is once we have edited it soon.   Day 2 Once we had started editing our product we had found that we had a lot of footage that needed re doing or some extra footage as we did not have enough. We decided to film most of the outside footage again as we thought we could improve. New music video Day 1 Due to starting our music video again with a completely different idea, we had to re-film everything. On the first day of
