Lorde- Pure Heroine Album

The contrast of the plain blank background with the large bold white writing on the front cover holds a theme. This album cover is very simplistic but stands out. This album cover symbolises Lorde's music as it is within the indie genre which is well known as dark and grungy.

Lorde- Melodrama Album

The image on the right is the album cover of Lorde's recent second album. This album cover is a lot more creative compared to her first album cover design. Researching her album I have found Lorde has had a busy few years with a lot of things changing in her life so this cover reflects the drama which has occur in her life recently. This cover also reflects the sort of songs which are included within the album telling her stories of happiness and heart break. Which leads on to the colours, all the colours included within the cover are symbols of different feelings she has gone through within the past few years. Even though this cover does not include her name, for those who are fans of her music know her looks and therefore does not need her name on the front cover.

Ariana Grande- My Everything Album

Both of these album covers relate to Ariana in different ways. Ariana is known for being pretty and for being a  genuinely really nice person so the colours she has used reflects the kind of person she is. She is also known for her being sassy and edgy with the songs she sings, Ariana's music is within the pop genre therefore linking in with the clothes she is wearing. This album explores more mature themes compared to her pervious album.
